The Support FAQ is intended as a means for our members to be able to diagnose and/or troubleshoot there bot installations.

    Bot Browser Specific Issue

    Bot Behavior Specific Issue

    Bot Browser Specific Issue(s)

Q.) Why does a bot close the browser opened by another bot?

A.) It depends on when you open the bot(s). For best results we suggest you do not open bots simultaneously and allow a small gap between when you start each bot.

A good rule of thumb is to start one bot, wait for it to become fully operational before you start another one.

    Bot Behavior Specific Issue(s)

Q.) The bot is misbehaving, not working properly or throwing an error… What do I do?

A.) First make sure you have all the required software installed (if needed by the bot). Some of the bots here use Firefox and/or require a specific .Net framework to be installed.

Second please check to see if there is any software that may be preventing the bot from working properly. Some examples of what to check are (but not limited to) the following:

    • Changing the bot's priority via task manager from "Normal" to "AboveNormal" or even "High"
    • Windows security prompt asking if you want to run a component of the bot
    • Standard (or otherwise limited) User Account when an Administrator Account may be needed
    • Hosts File blocking or other application that is blocking URL destinations to the internet (adblocking, etc)AntiVirus application that blocks the bot from working via a false detection or otherwise generic misdetection (see note below)

    ~note~
So far there hasn't been an issue with this but some antivirus applications have been known to block "virus like" activity for items that are not actually viruses. This was and is sometimes referred to "heuristic" scanning that look for items that match a preset list of actions. The problem with heuristic scanning is that it isn't always accurate and often can flag applications incorrectly.

To give you an example certain games that deploy anti-cheat measures have been blocked by anti-virus applications based on how the anti-cheat application works. The anti-cheat application isn't a virus at all but merely matches some of those actions the heuristic scanning looks for.

To resolve this please add the bot (and the bot's installation folder if possible) to any list of exclusions within your antivirus application. This will instruct the antivirus application to ignore the bot in the future and not interfere with it's operations.

Finally if you have the required software installed then be sure to make a note of what was going on with the bot at the time it was not working properly. This is important because the more information you can provide the better the chances of the developer getting a fix done faster.

What kind of information do I need to make a note of?Information such as the bot’s status message was what the bot was trying to do at the time, if the bot did something unexpected when you used a menu function, the contents of an error message, etc.

Giving as much detail as you can go a long way to help.

Q.) The bot isn't updating or it is stuck in an update loop... What do I do?

A.) If the bot is trying to update and it just keeps updating in a non-stop endless loop then it means that there maybe a problem with the code of the bot -OR- an update is being made to the bot -OR- there is a problem with the hosting provider

To resolve this simply stop running the bot and try running the updater2.exe application later in the day.

Q.) Why do I have to give as many details as possible on an issue? Aren’t these bots supposed to work?

A.) Truth of the matter is that software applications contain lines upon lines upon lines of code that the developer has to go through to find a
problem. Also bots contain different functions that depend on other functions.

By providing as much information as you can (such as the computer your using, the operating system, details about what the bot was doing and etc) can help a developer greatly. This will help the developer
